Open Letter To Gop Republican Establishment
Guess who is coming to the republican party now?
The people of color are coming to the party if polls are to be believed.
It is not the Party coming to People of Color?
Sad reality of the current situation of the party among its American Race of Peoples. The party is not doing the needed outreach.
As an activist we get asked the following responses when we go into our communities for the party.
Where is your party compared to our democratic colleagues’ outreach?
What is the party organ doing in outreach to our communities?
We don’t know or see you any time but only in when in opposition?
You only care when there is only an election?
Why we created Republican People of Color to answer and bridge those issues now. To engage, train, mobilize, outreach, message and get their opinions out front and center within the Republican Party. It is ideals that win elections those of personal interest of the individuals, then societalthen national that counts.
A party that does not come into the Ghetto, Barrio and China Towns of America and stay there in works is not going to win their votes. Take a page from our colleagues in the democrats. The first thing they do is engage. From ethnic media to ethnic festivals. You will find articles and outreach explaining what it is they are trying to do. Amplified by social media means and mainstream media. Our republicans are no show in our ethnic media means, they shun them, only come to us during elections when already the other side is a household name on issues and policies already known. People of color are not without reason why in many of them know what the democratic party believes in and policies but ask them of republican party. All you will ever get is what we are known for. What we are against in values and policies not what we stand for. Those who espouse their values of why? Give reason for the whom it benefits win. The whom then decides if this is a perfect fit for them individually, societally,and national ways.
The most effort is made by republicans not when in power but when in opposition. It is the loss of governing power that incentives the party in going out to meet the community. They understand they can’t win without us but don’t know how to change their approach to us. Even here it is for photo opportunities. The we came, we spoke and took pictures but no movement beyond that. Good for 30 second commercials and websites for every candidate. We have a term as people of color for this take a picture process. We call it “Gotcha Picture Outreach”. At best trophy images at worst cynical attempts to just say we came to your community.
This time around the party is clearly in opposition. We barely control the house, and that margin is disappearing fast, the senate and presidency we lost. In some states we are being edged out. Republican Party Establishment is trying to play the same old process of outreach expecting things to change for their efforts.
2024 is an election year. A lot of seats are up for grabs nationally. That is either a chance at changing tactics that lead the party to solid losses in outcomes or a process that can deliver a winning formula that makes the party accepting of these People of Color coming now into the party. The gotcha picture outreach days are over. They do not work. The need to get the GOP central to get real is upon us. In the streets, barrio, ghetto, and China town we have this hip hop term. Keep it real 100. The GOP establishment it’s your turn to come to the People of Color now.
We as the Republican People of Color are coming to you not for a picture but for our issues and concerns. Not because you outreached effectively to us as a people. It is because we see what the Democrats are doing to our individual, societal and national interests. Do not mess this one up please we urge the GOP Republican establishment at the county, city, state, and national level. That is our open letter request to the party. We as Republican People of Color are here coming with works for the party. The very least youestablishment can do is meet us People of Color half way now.
